It offers a wide range of diagnostic services using various imaging modalities, supports academic activities through publications and presentations at scientific conferences, and conducts research-based studies. The department also organizes conferences and workshops for education and actively participates in patient care, providing both inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures and intensive care.

The department is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including 3 ultrasound machines, consisting of latest advances like ultrasound elastography, musculo skeletal ultrasound with linear and hockey stick probes, 3D, 4D trans abdominal and trans vaginal scans. 5 fixed & 5 bedside X-ray machines (including a fluoroscopy machine) supported with digital radiography, volume computed tomography system, and a 1.5 Tesla MRI machine. The introduction of digital radiography has further enhanced the quality of care provided.

The department is committed to providing excellent healthcare, with a focus on serving the underserved populations by offering radiological investigations at subsidized costs.

OUR VISION

“To create a comprehensive and integrated healthcare facility with best clinical practices and cutting-edge technolgy”

24-hour service to the hospital, with faculty dedicated to training students in diagnostic procedures.
Interdisciplinary research and education in Radiodiagnosis.
Presentations by faculty and students at Continuing Medical Education programs, Indian Radiological and Imaging Association meetings, and state and national conferences.
Availability of sophisticated diagnostic and interventional imaging services around the clock, including MRI (1.5 Tesla), Spiral CT Scan with 3D image reconstruction, digital fluoroscopy, and ultrasound equipment with color Doppler.
Specialized services such as mammography/sono-mammography and digital subtraction angiography.

The department performs a broad range of radiological investigations, both conventional and cross-sectional, and carries out interventional procedures like image-guided FNAC and biopsies, and percutaneous aspiration and drainage.

The department is recognized for its postgraduate (MD) teaching program under KNR University. Postgraduate training includes case discussions, seminars, journal clubs, interesting film sessions, and clinico-radiological meetings with various departments, in addition to clinical postings.
